Editorial : From the reviews
"In summary, this is an excellent reference text for anyone interested in the mathematical formulation of renormalization and quantum field theory and should be seriously considered as an addition to a professional or university library." (A.G. Williams, The Physicist, 1999)

"This book concentrates very much on the technical matters one has to be aware of in order to perform an actual calculation, and explains all elementary steps of the method. In spite of that, the author also finds the opportunity to clarify the physical situation behind. He also points out the similarities and connections that exist between different branches of theoretical physics like statistical mechanics of polymers, critical phenomena, and field theories, where renormalization methods are usually applied." (M. Benedict, Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum, 2000)

This monograph is the first to present the recently discovered renormalization techniques for the Schrödinger and Dirac equations, providing a mathematically rigorous, yet simple and clear introduction to the subject. It develops field-theoretic techniques such as Feynman graph expansions and renormalization, taking pains to make all proofs as simple as possible by using generating function techniques throughout. Renormalization is performed by using an exact renormalization group differential equation, a technique that provides simple but complete proofs of the theorems.

Harnum gives away lots of tips on his website for free.

But there's just so much stuff in here that I thought our second-year student deserved to have it on hand, whether for the many playing tips, or listening guide, or practice pieces, or the CD or whatever.

It's the kind of book that one can just sit and read, if one wants to soak up some trumpet information or get psyched up about playing. As someone who adored Uy's first graphic novel series Feather as a kid, I bought Titan's Tears with the hope that the story would be as deep and well-crafted as his earlier ones. Both books are good resources for women about sex and marriage. And he's melded these two interests into a single-minded and scholarly pursuit of amassing the erotic works of all the early photography masters. You will truly get lost in this story and not want to stop when you reach the end of this first book. Then there are many pages of Nicole's blog towards the end. As other reviewers have mentio
