Pepper Bourne is a women on a mission. Editorially, there are a couple of hiccups but, overall, it's well done.
Do I recommend this book? Absolutely. There are also extensive lists of experimental data of surfaces; an example is the list of known reconstructions for both bare surfaces and surfaces terminated with different molecules.
There are four major limitations to this text. There's a plot-line involving a self-made cyborg that is just lame and which just doesn't fit in well with the rest of this novel. Lewis is a gifted historian, social commentator, and gentle philosopher. 5 Stars. And they are rooted in 'proving' that we're good enough because somewhere along the line, we were convinced that we never could be good enough. This book has done wonders for me, I couldnt put it down. Then, listen to it again at least once every month for the rest of your life. Very complete and up to date. Particularly worthy of note are the explanations on compression techniqu
