Now in full color, Arts and Culture provides an introduction to global civilizations and their artistic achievements, history, and cultures. The authors consider two important questions: What makes a work a masterpiece of its type? And what qualities of a work enable it to be appreciated over time? Critical thinking is also highlighted throughout the text with 4 different box features that ask students to explore connections across the humanities and different cultures. These boxes are entitled Connections, Cross Currents, Then & Now, and Cultural Impact boxes. Open the new fourth edition of Arts and Culture and open a world of discovery.
A autora divide os capítulos em duas partes, Brites, e a corte de D. Although this book has an undeniable Christian context, the lessons learned from this story transcend mere religion. I wish I had read this 20 years ago when I was at my biological peak.. My child LOVES these stories! She loves everything about them, she ever watches Ree's TV show on Food Network just so she can see the real life Charlie on TV! They are fun stories that are not too long and easy to read. It is incredibly detailed in its narrative although be warned this is for those who really want to learn about business and technology. Cost could allow all students to recieve their own. And I could care less about how Orwell likes his tea or his defense of English cooking. This book would be much better if she had approached the people and tried to get their stories rather than trying to create her own stories. Matthew could have any woman that he wanted at any time. I guess you'll have to be the judge.
