But if you’re looking for a focused discussion of the technology of space travel, you might get frustrated. Regrettably, this book is out of print. I guess my son and I missed the part that this was a graphic novel. Best of all, it leaves out plants that won't thrive where winters get below -20 degrees, saving frustration and wasted money. My favorite characters in the story were Sir Ardent, and Ian the Woodcarver.

This novel is reminiscent of John Bunyan's "Pilgrim's Progress." I felt that this book had more profound images than Bunyan's work. I have been recommending it to all my other girl friends.. Secrets surrounding governance of the vision painters become crucial to the story, and Kiran must discover the secrets that have been kept. This approach, with its many embedded questions and strategies is an excellent starting point.
