I got this book back in 1995 when it was first published, I can't imagine it was that long ago because the book is still in such great condition. Offers an empathetic, brilliantly simple approach to managing the meltdowns common to autistic individuals. Before I had finished reading it, my mother started flipping through it. Oh well, anyway, best of luck to you. Makes your doctors sit up and take notes when you talk about how YOU want to treat your depression. This book cut through the noise and gave a concise summary of therapies that I could use to help myself.
In summary, the book is well-researched and an excellent resource. My wife and I have hiked the Swiss Alps for 4 consecutive summers. And ever since I bought it I've been so confident, I notice crying out signs with my friends cars, I can go to my mechanic or any auto shop and ask questions they've never heard before, and be on the same page.
