You won't regret it. The book has a similarly comprehensive account of how radiation affects tissues instead of describing only the most significant short-term dangers of cosmic rays outside the Van Allen belt.
It’s not just physiology that gets this treatment, the author will launch into general discussions of physics, chemistry, geology, scientific history or anything else that interests him with the least excuse. It's sad that hand crafts have fallen so far out of everyday life but this book will not help them reemerge.
I would much rather find an original print book.
The Kindle version (at least the one I downloaded) isn't very useful.. I read this book when it came out and am planning on getting another copy and reading it again. The first thing you'll notice about this book is its high production quality.
