The story of a brutal shark attack that cost a woman her arm and much of her leg, and her death-defying recovery.

One of the most dreadful experiences humans fear is a shark attack. This horrifying agony is exactly what happened to Nicole Moore, a nurse from Orangeville, Ontario. It was an assault all the more brutal for being so unlikely she was standing in waist-deep water at a Mexican resort. She came very close to dying, losing 60 percent of her blood from deep bites on her arm and leg, and was rushed to a hospital where she received a questionable level of medical care that left her and her family confronting physical and mental anguish. Surviving gruesome misery, including the amputation of her left arm and attempts to rebuild her disfigured leg, she has fought on to become a source of inspiration for those facing seemingly insurmountable challenges.

Editorial : I found myself tugged irrevocably into Moore’s compelling account of enduring the shark attack, wrapped expertly in the detail of author Jennings’ research and storytelling. (Ted Barris, bestselling author of The Great Escape: The Untold Story)

A compelling and highly recommended addition to community library collections. (Midwest Review of Books)

Read it. Heed the warnings. Note her strength against this dire adversity and her ability to move forward without remorse. It is an unbelievable tale (Bookpleasures)

Riveting and inspirational … a compelling real-life story about the magnificent power of optimism. (Lloyd Robertson, former CTV News anchor)

It is rare to see someone experience the trauma of so many surgeries yet be so strong, positive and full of hope as Nicole Moore. She is an inspiration. (Dr. Laura Snell, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences C

Mangan's books in parallel and this happens to be the first one I finished. (that can be a bit of a problem for some).

Yet, this book is amazingly written, anaylized, and hopeful. It’s only when you go back and think about it that you put the pieces together.

In all, this is a satisfying “cozy-type” mystery, great for an afternoon’s read (and it is currently beach-reading season). Unfortunately, in the world of mystery novels, nothing is ever as cut and dried as it seems.

”Still Life” is the first novel by Louise Penny. For instance, consider a finitely generated nilpotent free k-algebra A over an algebraically closed field k. I use this book with K-3 children to play around with place value, equivalent expressions, expanded notation, and two-digit addition and subtraction. I am considering buying some of their other DVDs and books. In my opinion, that I have read this book, this is really a book on elementary ALGEBRAI
