From the heart of Syria, Dreams in the Medina is a coming-of-age tale which explores the aspirations, passions and tragedies of a group of young Syrian women, who on the surface seem to have nothing in common but who are brought together in the deepest of bonds as they study and live together at the University of Damascus.

Editorial : About the Author Kati Woronka first moved to Syria in 2001 and quickly fell in love. While Syria may be her first love, she has traveled extensively around the world doing what she likes to call CulturTwining - interacting with people of different cultures - and discovering great stories. Dreams in the Medina is her first full-length novel.

The book deals with the history of Android and other trivia information, which is completely fine if that's the kind of book you're looking for, but I believe that the title and the description are misleading in telling someone they'll have a moderate knowledge of Android development after they're through the book.

That being said, I've bought the book for just 99 cents to read on my Kindle and it isn't completely useless because you can read up on some of the history of Android and how it all came to be, why to choose a career in Android, etc.

Bottom line is: The book has some nice information about the history of Android and careers in Android development, but don't buy this book to learn to program and develop Android apps. In addition, an overview of the bible's history as a whole and an outline/setting for each individual book. Had I not been interested in the subject, her enthusiasm would likely have sparked my interest.
